Enjoy this gallery of some of our service dog graduates, and the people they help.
CHIP service dogs are custom trained to specifically fulfill the needs of each recipient.
People we serve are provided service dogs to help them become more independent. Their dogs are trained to do a multitude of tasks from picking up a dime to opening a door. For a disabled individual one of the most important doors a service dog opens is the acceptance into society. As hard as the truth is to accept, all too often a person with a disability is “looked through.” People tend to be afraid of what they do not understand. A service dog helps to ease those fears by stimulating common interests. Everyone has one or two dog stories to share!
